3 REMEDIES for a fussy baby

Remedies

As a mom, we have all been there. Alone. With your little one crying hysterically. You have tried every possible known way to try to ease the pain of your child, to bring your sweet baby some peace. To bring yourself peace…and most importantly sleep. Trust me. I have so been there.

With my first son and as a first time mom, I thought I was doing something wrong. I thought my son hated me. I thought I would never be a good mom. Little did I know, my first born was teething…the instant he was born it felt because at the mere age of 2 months – he had this cute little tooth pop up. I was so happy to have finally realized what has been causing all his pain and hysteria, but little did I know that there would be no way to ease his pain.

I tried all the drug store remedies: teething gels, teething tablets, teething rings. NONE of them worked. Not only was he teething, he was also extremely gassy. It was the cherry on top of it all. So then I tried gas drops, gripe water, belly massages, bicycle kicks, and warm baths. I was at a loss. All my mommy friends recommended everything I already tried. I even switched his formula!!!!!!!!!! Then I discovered 3 miracles that saved my life…okay my son’s life.

#1 Baltic Amber Teething Necklace

I honestly didn’t believe in this Hocus Pocus crap. Seriously, a necklace that could cure my baby of any pain? I thought all these other mamas were just buying into the hype of it all. I was at my wits end though and was willing to try anything no matter how much it cost or how silly it sounded.

Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces contain 8% Succinic Acid, which is a natural pain-relieving and healing agent. When buying a teething necklace, you want to make sure that it is 100% authentic baltic amber. You must also make sure that it is tied with a safety knot between each bead. When the baltic amber is against the warm skin of your baby, it will activate the healing process.

It has seriously relieved my baby of any discomfort. I was extremely surprised and in awe, but I was so ecstatic and happy at the same time!! I finally had a happy baby. The only con for me was that it helped only while it was worn. I definitely don’t recommend having your baby wear it while asleep.

#2 Biogaia Protectis Baby Drops

What the hell is this stuff? I had no clue either and I had never heard of it in the couple of year I had been a mom. It is exactly what it says to be, a probiotic. It contains live cultures that will help with digestion, boost the immune system, and will relieve your baby’s colic symptoms. This is completely safe for both a mother and child. You can add this to breast milk or formula. It is quite pricey, so I administer it directly into my baby’s mouth so he gets every drop as opposed to not finishing a bottle.

After you give this to your child, you will notice an immediate difference in their bowels. They will also be able to burp and pass gas without any trouble. It is like having a new baby. I noticed a difference within a day.

#3 Chamomile Tea

I always thought you couldn’t give your baby anything but formula until a certain age. I add about 1 once to a bottle of formula or breast milk. There are two types of chamomile tea that are used for good health: German chamomile and Roman chamomile. This type of tea helps to calm an upset stomach or to help aid in sleep.

As soon as your  baby consumes the tea, it is effective immediately. My baby boy was pooping up a storm and passing gas and burping in my face. I was not prepared for all those bodily functions at once! But again, he was a happy baby and was no longer in discomfort!

I hope that these remedies will help your little one’s and you both get some rest! If you click on the headings above, it will bring you to the actual brands I like to use! 1. There’s really not a lot you can do about teething… they still have to go through it.
When my little one was gassy, I also changed formula and it helped immediately. I did some research and found out that organic formula is easier to digest for those little tummies. So, I ordered European formula from myorganicformula.com. I really love their costumer service, they answer only in a few hours.
    All the best,

    1. We also tried an organic German formula called Hipp! It is extremely expensive. Where we live, they never have it in stock and it cost double on Amazon! But Bio Gaia has really eliminated all tummy issues! I will say you can tell a world of difference in organic formula, it smells and tastes like breast milk.

  2. Hello my friend! I want to say that this post is awesome, nice written and include almost all important infos. I’d like to see more posts like this.
