The Fountain of Youth

I turned the big 3-0 about two months ago. Yes, you heard me right. I have entered the world of the dirty thirties.

At first, I was secretly having a panic attack. But I have been publicly having a panic attack about getting older since I turned 21!

It really set in when I saw the beautiful grey hair peak through my brunette mane…and this was just a couple days after I turned the dirty thirty.

I have been dying my hair and pulling out the pieces of grey. I have been obsessing over beauty products and what I should use to prevent any wrinkles. Or shall I say get rid of the one’s I am starting to see.

On one of my mommy groups, one mom (with the gorgeous, glowing skin) said she used a microdermabrasion machine. My first thought was I don’t have that kind of money…well my husband doesn’t (#dependalife). Second, I don’t have time to that! Low and behold!! Microdermabrasion machines are cheaper to purchase than to have the treatment done at a spa! Spas are charging $150 to $200 a pop. Depending on the quality of machine you purchase, you can spend a one-time fee of $150 to $300!!

So I went over to lovely Amazon and purchased the Zeny Pro Diamond Dermabrasion Microdermabrasion Safe Skin Peel Beauty Machine (Affiliate Link). It is priced at $129 and worth every penny.

It’s Here!!!!!

When the machine finally arrived, I picked it up with open arms and a huge smile on my face. This was my ticket to younger looking skin…this will make the wrinkles fade away.

What came in the box:

Microdermabrasion Machine
PVC vacuum hose 6*4 1
Stainless steel wands 3
Diamond tips 9
Cotton filter 2 packs
tube rings & fuses
English manual

It is super easy to use and handle. There is also a Youtube Video here that will help you as well.

I immediately plugged this bad boy in after having read the directions and watching the above video. There are different diamond tips for different areas of the body. Yes, you heard right! I said body. You can prevent wrinkles all over your entire body!! Although, I would not recommend using it in your unmentionable places.

Super. Easy. To. Use.

I connected the pieces and chose the smallest diamond tip because the area around my nose is probably the worst. You are suppose to go over the area 2-3 times with the diamond tip. After having done the treatment, my skin felt flaky and dry. So I did as instructed in the manual. I disconnected the pieces of the machine that I had used and took it to the bathroom to be cleaned. I used mild soap and warm water. When I removed the cotton filters, I could see all the flaky skin that had been removed from my face. I was slightly disgusted…no…not slightly. I was completely grossed out. Mainly because I exfoliate skin well. I might over exfoliate!! I’m no esthetician.

Next, I continued my nightly skin routine. I used a gentle exfoliator and then a mild cleanser. I then patted my face dry and applied a toner with a cotton ball. I personally use 25% ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) and 75% water that I mix myself as a toner. In the future, you will see a blog about the benefits of ACV! After the toner dried, I could feel an immediate difference in my skin. It was SMOOTH and SOFT. My freaking face was glowing. I honestly didn’t expect to see a difference after one use. I finished my routine with a skin serum and a night dream/moisturizer.

I use the machine once a week. You do not want to use it more than that or you will cause damage. I have been using it about 3 weeks now and I am completely in love with this microdermabrasion machine. Now I am not as obsessed with beauty products because this is my one tried and true tested product. Okay, I lied a little…I am still down to try different beauty products!

This machine has a low humming noise when using it and you need to be careful not to use it for extended period of time as it may overheat. It has a timer on it to turn off when it gets too hot. Just let it cool down and you can use it after.

If you have ANY questions at all! Let me know! If you buy it and try it! I still want to know what you think about it!
